Slowly they turn..Step by Step, He is their Niagara Falls skit.

I do not write for the Good News Roundup but I see the very red part of Florida Trump base starting to turn against their leader.  Do you want to know why?  It’s not the Russia thing although it should be.  It’s the pocketbook.  Between the shutdown and the less income tax refunds they see on a trial from Turbo Tax, they  are realizing they are getting  punched and now they know or beginning to know the meaning of the word, “SUCKER”.

The evangelical base is still pretty tight and I have no idea why but the ones who wanted change and believed the orange man had policy and could help them out in their small business are pretty ticked off. 

I have personally seen them file for an idea of what their refund will be and they are NOT happy.  They are tuning him out on TV, social media, and feeling betrayed.   For the ones who said, “I told you” and many of us did in the beginning, they are getting the government they voted for but fell for his rhetoric.   I wish I could tell you how many in the northwest corner of Florida are feeling really sick over this income thing and shutdown.  You would really have to hear them and see their faces and silence to know what is happening.

Are you listening Mitch?  Some of we dems have boots on the ground in these red areas and the base is falling apart.   It doesn’t mean they will vote dem.  Some are die hard republicans or Ron Paul people but what it does mean, is they won’t be at the polls to vote.  I have heard it with my own ears.  They are refusing to vote in any election in the future because of the leader of lies.

  I have even heard them say the following:

” I don’t believe a word he says.”

Some are tuning out Fox, turning on their conservative buddies and even badmouthing him.    It is all about their pocketbook.  It is about the tax break, the poor who voted for him are not seeing.  They are tired of getting beat over the head with their own vote for this man.

Hey Mitch, you might want to rethink that base thing.  Slowly they turn.  Is this the real reason you are hiding?  The beginning of the POB?  Pissed off base voters earning under 30K?  

Things start to get real when it hits your own pocketbook.  Yep, as a cleaver and former president once said, “ It’s about the economy stupid”.  

The orange man could shoot someone on fifth avenue and get away with it but don’t dare mess with the pocketbook.  They will turn every single time.  Slowly, they will turn, one by one and inch by inch,  red turns purple or blue.
