I love to write good stories. I love it. I can’t see any great stories due to the state of the union and the disease and division. Media cannot even stay on message. They jump from one chaos to another.
Merrick Garland needs to say something really significant Wednesday because this country is beginning to look like some country we don’t recognize. When 40 percent of republicans and 40 percent of independents say violence against the government is OK according to polls, then know it can’t go on this way. Two days ago...and today MSNBC is reporting higher poll numbers.
The problem is we are in a big mess here in the USA. We can
talk about how all of this is going to play out, the January 6th and ongoing violence but we have to face the fact even though we don’t know how to stop it all and that there will be a showdown. I have no idea if it is about all the anti American people out there pushing for insurrection or the Covid fights regarding masking and vaccinations and that orange thing out there recruiting chaos. Maybe it is all combined.
We just have to face the fact that the republic is in extreme danger. We have to face the fact that things are just getting worse and worse violently. The extremists are going local.
All we can do is concentrate on every day we live and do not start dodging the wrath from one side and the frustration from the other, we are still surviving. This I feel is not going in the direction people are thinking could never happen in this country. The people on the right side of history have to get a stronger spine and try to stop this nonsense from Fox to other media. Had this kind of leadership been present during WWII, we would all be part of Hitler’s rule. America is tipping from hate to something worse than hate. To think interfering with the vote and the High fives being cheered for those crawling on their bellies every day for power and recognition.
The shining beacon on the hill is not so bright. From climate change to chaos of voting rights and disease is just a mess.
Any suggestions from real concerned people who feel we are losing this country day by day or hour or hour. Face it...We are going to have a showdown sooner or later. Trump and his supporters never gave Joe Biden a start, much less a chance. He has done an amazing job under the circumstances but he is only human. He needs a lot and I mean a lot of backing and not Manchin type responses to his presidency.
We are a sick nation and getting sicker. Not just with Covid. If you are a person of color..life may change. If you have a partner, you better think about it because you may not be able to love who you want. If you are sick or poor or disabled, then you better think about it. Women? Well get out your pearls and mop and apron because you are about to no longer be able to have many rights. Is this hyperbole? No. It is happening right before our eyes. Can we vote ourselves out of this mess? Unless some voting rights are restored, it appears not. Don’t get on your video game or post your pictures and not think about it. Think of where we all will be in 2023? People are not going back to the world Donald Trump and Bannon and Miller wanted in 2016.
