We have another Kossack running for congress. Say hello to Adam Sackrin. Adam is running for the 27th district congressional seat which is in the Miami area. www.adamsackrin.com
I talked to Adam and he had a pretty interesting story of why he is running. I always ask folks what made them decide to run. His story was very inspiring. He told me that he was only 12 years old when he volunteered for the Gore campaign. He remembers painting Vote Gore 4 President on posters and placing them in windows. He told me the excitement that he felt at the Gore Campaign office stuck deep inside his soul and mind. Keep in mind this was before social media was very big.
We had brick cell phones and could get on the internet but it was dial up. A youngster running around Miami putting up Vote 4 Gore in finger paint before the easy hit print button to me is pretty inspiring. He recalled the excitement of former Vice President’s campaign and all the talk of Earth in the Balance regarding all of the changes in our climate. It is safe to say Al Gore’s campaign in South Florida influenced Adam Sackrin. Adam sat for hours painting Vote 4Gore..and worked to GOTV in the year 2000. There is a bit of resemblance of a young Gore and Adam Sackrin, don’t you think?
Former VP Al GoreAdam has a passion for Climate Change and wants to make it a major part of his campaign. Living in Florida is very challenging for those of us who feel the effects daily yet are surrounded by republicans who deny and forbid us to use the word.
Adam is a member of 90for90 and needs our help as his primary challenger is Mr. Furhman who has many legal problems but is favored in this election to compete against a long time republican congressional seat holder in the 27th district. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen presently is the representative and it is time for a change.
Adam’s own words from his website is as follows:

It's time to take big money out of politics and make Congress responsive to the people again. We need environmental reform, criminal justice reform, immigration reform, and politics-as-we-know-it reform. Miami is ready for real change, and the political revolution is just getting started!
South Florida is already feeling the impacts of global warming, and there is no more debating it: we need to take smart, aggressive action on climate change. Defiant Republicans, beholden to the fossil fuel industry and obsessed with oil and “fracking,” refuse to accept the scientific community’s consensus and take necessary steps to combat the potentially catastrophic impending threat of climate change. We cannot wait any longer, we need to save the planet right now. Government at all levels must make a concerted effort, a vertical coalition from federal and state legislators down to mayors, commissioners, environmental groups, area businesses and community leaders, to keep South Florida beautiful, habitable, and thriving for future generations, not underwater.
I personally am for a Kossack and passionate candidate who feels true passion for this upcoming election and I urge Floridians to support this candidate. Adam has his own law firm in the South Florida area and a big future in politics. Let’s do our part to make it bigger. Adam probably knows better than anyone from the 2000 Bush Vs Gore campaign...Every Vote Counts !
