I must admit, I have been a little more than cautious during the pandemic because I cannot take the shot. I could spend a long time going into the reactions I have had in the past with vaccines including being packed in ice in a hospital during the polio vaccinations but I won’t. I have some problems with allergies on most all meds and vaccine allergies would be just one of those things I have to live with, Most all of my family is vaccinated and I insist mask wearing everywhere by even the vaccinated. I don’t go anywhere much and nowhere unmasked, nor have I in the past two years and that included my daughter’s memorial service.
I live in a state where mask wearing is almost taboo to sooooooooooooo many, so I rarely leave my domain. I hear this morning that the CDC gave a thumbs up for Kids to go Trick or Treating. What the hell?
Is it not bad enough that millions of kids are running all over the school yards and in Florida so many unmasked that now they say it is OK from the little crumb snatchers to go door to door. I have no small children but I will not allow these kids to knock on my door begging for candy who may or may not be infected. I can sit a tray of candy outside and let them take what they want which won’t last long because like adults, we also have greedy kids in every neighborhood who will stuff their pockets and run to the next house and do the same thing.
What was wrong when the CDC said OK, vaccinated people, strip off your masks too early? We had huge outbreaks and breakthroughs.
Look, I am all in favor of science but who knows what the fringe does with this kind of information and then causing family arguments. I am glad I can turn off the porch light and say forget it. Many cannot. Many grandparents and parents will open that door and let traditional trick or treaters go door to door and just how safe is that? I have a lot of Trumpsters in my family and most have had the virus in Ga and some in Florida.
I am bumbfuzzled and have no argument against the idiots down here in Florida and family members in Ga still talking down the virus and with this kind of info out there from the CDC, we the vulnerable are just even more paranoid and in bigger losing arguments. The people of Florida are already acting like the pandemic is over.

- Walensky recommended trick-or-treating outside, limiting crowds and avoiding crowded Halloween parties.
I personally think this advice is BS and would not let my kid run in a small crowd door to door and if the receipent, would not open the door,then they are free to trick. Just Turn off the light and hope with any luck all of the freedoms infringing on your own will pass in a couple of eons. Right now you are at the mercy of the money changers .
