The strategy, if you want to call it such from Trump’s lawyers, enablers and that side of the aisle for the most part are part of a gaslighting mission.
I believe they think if they just stand by and let the Congress get run over, ignored, and disrespected that eventually the media will stop covering it and the Dems will move on. I believe, they believe that since there has been no FORMAL call for impeachment hearings and no standing on the floor demanding cooperation from demands of subpoenas and basically ignoring the law, and not jailing that dems will do nothing.
I also am of the opinion, they are laughing at those letters demanding witnesses abide by the law of the land. They feel that the Democrats are so afraid of the 2020 election, they have us over a barrel. Not true but that is their mindset as we have not created a huge fuss over all of this. I feel it is coming though. You know where I am getting these ideas? I live in a very red area and I hear people that are Trump supporters saying this very thing. Today I heard some Dems say, “ Well, no one is really doing anything, maybe there really is a nothing to see or legislators would be raising Hell”. That was scary. I know these people are die hard dems. I know they vote. What scares me is people are doing what Bush said after 9-11….Go shopping. They may not be shopping but they are going about their lives not paying attention to the truth of the Mueller report.
I think the enablers know they had rather have an all out knock down drag out among the electorate than the electorate find out just how deep they are owned by Russia. There is lots and lots of money involved. Maybe they are so owned that they have to do what a foreign government says. I do think they are counting on Dems continuing to fuss and remain in a standoff over these subpoenas and move on to a focus on 2020 which may already be rigged.
I think the ending is not going to be pretty at all. I think it is coming to a head with people rising up OR by 2020, we could be under full dictatorship because these people will have convinced folks dems are crazy and it is nothing but fake news and false accusations and people will go along like sheep until they are totally slavelike. The whole time Russia and who knows what other country is interfering.
Call this CT, but I am hearing things in Florida that worries me about the absolute disregard for this republic and it is going to come to a head and how that goes is anyone’s guess but it won’t be anything like we have ever seen before.
I have not forgotten GWB saying a dictatorship would be fine as long as he was the dictator. Trump has laid the groundwork to undermine media, laws, and with the help of a couple of dems and the Republican party and stacking the judiciary and for the most part undermined our democracy. If people think Trump is going to leave this power trip he is on with the title of Mr. President behind, they IMO are not paying attention. That man wants to be Putin’s and Kim’s buddy. Who is meeting right now? N. Korea and Russia. There is definately something there...there..but it may be too terrifying for most people to comprehend.
Just an opinion and that is about all we have now because we are not being allowed access to the rest of the story or the truth of the matter or some doubting their very own eyes and ears. I could have summed this whole post up with three words. Why? Who? and When? This country is fading away.
