My family and friends know Superbowl to me is doing all I can for veterans and especially those veterans in Florida.    Meet Ed Emery.

We have a  great congressional candidate running in 2016 for the 3rd district of Florida... and God knows The Malcom-Randall VA veterans need someone better than Yoho to represent their interest at the Va facility located in Gainesville, Florida.  District 3 contains all of Alachua, Union, Bradford, Clay, and Putnam counties.  Unfortunately, Florida’s CD-3 only contains 2/3rds of Marion County.

Meet Ed Emery. His resume’ is impressive and his ability to surround himself with a fantastic staff on behalf of veterans in an area of Florida that needs good representation is encouraging with a focus on better representation.

I know how badly Rep. Yoho has treated the veterans of the South Ga./North Florida veteran facility.  It is shameful.   Most of the problems are with lack of oversight and wrong priorities, not to mention the priority seemed to be the bonuses that I reported on some time back.

We now have a candidate ready to look at our veterans and make acceptable healthcare a priortiy.   He enlisted a recent veteran to head his campaign.  She brings much to the table for this fine candidate.   Ed Emery is a former probation officer and a family man who also understands that democratic issues of fairness and equality is a must.   edemeryforcongress.com

Ed Emery’s bio:

I was born in 1959, in rural Eastman, Dodge County, Georgia. Both of my parents grew up in Alachua, Florida and all of my grandparents lived in Alachua for most of their lives. I loved visiting my grandparents in Alachua and I fell in love with the beautiful springs, rivers and pastures that make up the north central Florida area. No surprise when I chose to attend the University of Florida, graduating with my BS degree in Psychology in 1983. I met my wife, Judy, while working my way through college. In 1984 we moved to Santa Clara, California, to be close to Judy’s mother. However, we missed North Central Florida, and in 1987, we moved back to Gainesville where I had secured a Probation Officer position with the State of Florida Probation and Parole Services. In 1988, I secured a Probation Officer position with the United States Probation Office, Northern District of Florida, Gainesville Division. While working as a Federal Probation Officer, I covered Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist, Lafayette and Levy counties. In 1995, I was promoted to the Northern District of Florida’s Program Development Coordination, a position which included the training of staff in Gainesville, Tallahassee, Panama City and Pensacola. As a training officer, I worked closely with the Training Division of the Federal Judicial Center (FJC) in Washington, D.C.. I conducted training for the FJC in numerous District and Bankruptcy Courts, in addition to Probation and Pretrial Services offices across the country. I retired on December 31, 2009, after 21 years of service.

Yoho and Nugent have been as useless for the Veteran and  everyday Floridians  as  rubberlips on a Woodpecker.  Nugent was in the 11th district.. He is not running but  has tapped one of his staffer’s to take his place.  Yoho was the republican 3rd district congressman taking up space in DC.

We now have candidates in place to represent the electorate and get things done.   We have a candiate really to have more and better representation for the people of Florida, and in  districts we need oversight.    Ed Emery stated this regarding the need for better healthcare regarding our veterans.

We have two Veterans Administration Hospitals in District 3. While these hospitals strive to supply good health care to our veterans, I have heard stories from veterans that sadden me. These veterans have fought for our freedom and we must ensure that they receive the health care they deserve.

Given that rural health care is a real problem in District 3. We need to provide incentives to encourage doctors to locate in our rural communities and stay for longer periods of time.

Right now, my husband has no primary care physican and has not had  since October except for a floater.  How can an interim doc really know the patient needs?    He has had more come and go primary physicans  than I can count in just a few years.  Here today..gone tomorrow.  He was without a psych for over a year and then the one assigned, showed no interest in his mental health...His story is not isolated in the community based clinics nor the Malcolm Randall VA Facility.   I do believe this candidate will address this type of treatment for all of our veterans.    Yoho needs to go.  Nugent needs to go.   We can help make that happen.

Please visit their website directly and donate, volunteer or spread the word  and read up on this candidate.  Ed can also be found on

the 90for90.org page.   www.90for90.org/...  Please GOTV and send this candidate to Washington.  It is a way to help veterans and the dire need for better healthcare and other extreme issues we have in Florida, now

under the thumb of do nothing representation.  It is frustrating when folks say, “ Call your representative and you shake your head knowing you might as well call one of the Koch brothers.  Your chances of getting through are about as good and getting results to actually do something is even greater.

Time to suit up and get your action on to elect people that you can actually call upon.  I say this with conviction.   Downticket ballots matter.  This is not just about the Presidential Election.  This is truly about a working congress.
