This country is on life support

I do not know what more I can say as the video below says it all of what we have become.  We are hypocritical as a country.   We are slowly failing.   

Emma Lazarus, a beautiful poet wrote the words engraved on Lady Liberty.  The words in 2018 are meaningless.   The huddles masses are thrown in cages.   The poor are mistreated and left to die from Puerto Rico to every small town and large city scattered across the ever growing wasteland without proper representation and living wage.  Many hundreds of thousands are hungry, tired and the rich and powerful yearn for days of magnolias and slaves.   

I don’t know  why Lady Liberty still stands on Ellis Island.   I think if we cannot defend this country and return to some sort of compassion, then we are a lost nation.

Why did so many of our men and women lose their lives and their health defending a constitution that mean very little if anything to the leaders of this nation?  Why do we allow the representatives to not represent the will of the people?  Why is a foreign government meddling in our elections?  Where are our defenders of this country?  We the People by majority do not like this direction.  Why are we not in mass numbers in the streets?  How long must we suffer the emotional  torture many are enduring?

The above video makes me sad and nostalgic when I dreamed of making a more perfect union.  I feel pain when I think of allies being insulted while dictators being glorified. 

We went from that portrait of America with the words written after the Civil War..to this portrait in 2018.

 Every bump in the road screams infrastructure.   Every bridge that shakes and falls is a reminder we have gone backwards with no forward vision for our children.   Our climate is sinking our states as wildfires rage.   Our water is poison to many.  Our air is polluted.  Our churches or at least many are corrupted by hypocrisy and evil.   Children are shot in their classrooms.   Worshippers are gunned down.   Every public place including A Waffle House is not even safe to gather.   People are afraid to speak up and stand for their own land for fear of being beaten, or gassed, or made deaf by out of control militarized police.  People are being gaslighted and our own institutions are being taken apart by people who do not want truth, or justice.  Educators have to march in the streets to afford to teach our children.   Our veterans are homeless and denied benefits.   Money flows freely to those who are corrupt and have so much that mischief and control of tearing this country apart is their only goal.   

I will end this summation with the words of Thomas Jefferson and John F Kennedy.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
