The water temperatures are
90’s and we have had 100 plus temps for two months. Right now, we are under a Tropical Storm threat and some in the Big Bend area is under a Hurricane Watch.
We don’t know if this Tropical disturbance will impact Florida, S. Ga and S. Carolina in a big way or not but Tampa area including Orlando and Northward including my area are preparing for a hit of flooding or wind damage.
This storm is in the process of developing and around Cuba now. It may be nothing and it may be something as we never know. Flooding I do expect in the coastal areas
Tampa At Huge Risk From Tropical Storm
Tampa will be hit by a tropical storm that could become a hurricane. It will be battered with winds as high as 74 miles per hour and a storm surge that may be several feet high. St. Petersburg, in the same metro, is barely above sea level. One of the effects of these storms in cities like Tampa is that they could ruin home prices.
According to Fox 13, “Additionally, a Storm Surge Watch has been issued for the west coast of the Florida peninsula from the Aucilla River northward to the mouth of the Suwannee River. This includes Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor.”
The storm could also slow down as it moves toward the coast, and warm water could make it much more powerful.

We Kossacks in Florida will keep you guys updated as best we can as long as we have power or access to it.
I know as of 9 AM this morning, in this area, gas is already running low and out. Propane is hard to find.
I started preparing back a month or so ago for power outages. Not much I can do if we get anything structurally damaging.
Keep us in your thoughts and know we will update you as much as possible. As hot as this summer has been, we knew the storm season would probably be a mess.
