We all know this. We all talk about it but it just keeps getting worse. People should not live or die at the hands of unstable, gun totin, angry, fearful people. It isn’t just guns although the majority is. We have people running through crowds, stabbings, people beating others to death and chokings and pushing people from subways. Come on, there is no respect for life or liberty anymore. What are these rage filled demons wanting? How do they think killing people or severely injuring them will get them what they want? These rage filled people abuse animals, children, and disabled. The constitution is not being upheld as it was written and even then, it had a bunch of loopholes like slavery upheld.
The minorities have always faced hate and it is increasing but also spreading to women and children more frequently. Let’s face it. If the Titanic was sinking today, women and children would be thrown overboard and not in lifeboats because it is no longer women and children first. It is not about leadership, or law or education or justice. Not anymore.
We need to come to the conclusion we will never get rid of the guns. Never. There are too many and with technology, they are too easily obtained. The rhetoric and the cult numbers of hate is where we need to begin.
Technology has a huge part of spreading hate. The media of hate needs controlling. Propoganda needs to be shut down. People need to go to jail for spreading hate instead of losing jobs. Freedom of speech? Freedom of speech should not include the rhetoric of spreading hate that leads to violence.
Was I naive and sheltered or was there really a different time for kids and public places in general because I sure don’t remember domestic terrorism of killing kids and places of worship and entertainment being attacked with the exception of the racial tensions and bombing of killing children in a church in Alabama. There was no justice for many of the victims back then like Emmett Till and many others but the frequency was not like today. We never had people storming the United States Capitol putting up hangman nooses. We never had road rage resulting in deaths every day.
Martin Luther King and others banded together and stood up against Wallace and things began to change back in the 60’s, somewhat. We had a Justice Department that tried to go after these domestic terrorists. We have bombed other countries for less than what is happening right here in America today. Is it exposure to technology? Is the hate being spread more easily? Is there no laws to protect people who just want to live, and have their children educated? What has made so many cowards out of people who are afraid of a 6 year old ringing a doorbell? My God, kids can’t sell girl scout cookies in today’s America.
What is the answer? Is the media most of the problem with disinformation? Are people so spoiled they are willing to kill to prove they believe their agenda is right? Do they hate themselves so much they want to kill or mame everyone ? Is freedom an illusion? Is safety an illusion? Is the law an illusion? What happened to kids riding their bikes till dark or suppertime, or not having all these drills regarding active shooters? What happened to thinking you could drive without being shot on the highways? What happened ? I never remember hate being preached from the pulpits? What happened?
I guess it is like I have heard my husband say a million times after returning from Vietnam. When the insane become the majority, the sane go to the hospital. Now they go to the morgue as well.
I do not understand the immigration problem. Who would want to escape to a country that is molding itself or imitating the country they are fleeing from?
I would be be willing to bet that most of us have been touched by gun violence in our own families whereas we know someone who we loved has died via violent behavior. Suicide, murder, assault. I never heard of such anger and violence to this extreme in all of my life. We have more guns than people. We have more killings than days.
There is a war going on and it is going on right here in America. We are living in a warzone. What is the answer? Issue everyone body armour? Go off the grid and grow your own food and live in a tribal like way? Make your own entertainment? Shut down all form of communication and media outlets? What is the answer? We have leaders or so called leaders who is dictating our lives. I don’t have any answers but I sure have a lot of questions.
