America is on the brink. Not hype, plain truth. Where are the voices of Tom Harkin, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and the list goes on. Jimmy Carter has spoken up and he is nearly 100. He didn’t drop out. Where are the voices of past legislation not speaking up? Regarding the other side, We rarely hear from Darth Vader, GW Bush, once in a while from the other side that switched sides like Joe Walsh, and David Jolly. Where did they all go and how do they feel about Supreme Court madness? How do they feel about Jan 6th investigations? Has Trump, trumped their voices? What the Hell is going on? We don’t hear from Martin Sheen as an advocate. I know they are not all dead like Ed Asner but where did other voices go? Where did their advocacy go? Where are the protest songs of the 60’s? Where is Peter Yarrow and the old timers who actually stood and fought for things? Where are the writers and musicians to lead people of today’s time out of gun and government overreach regarding our votes, bodies, safety?
I know the media is most of the problem but all the mass shootings, fear, pandemic, crime, climate change and yet Mitch McConnell and Ted Cruz are still out there encouraging the Proud Boys and their like to lead America. We have lost our way and sane Americans are allowing this. Trump is not God nor is DeSantis. Where is the pushback?
I know I am not crazy. Does anyone else see this lack of total leadership from the past and especially the present staring the majority of Americans in the face. It is called Fascism. Fascism from the extreme right. Fascism on the Supreme court. Fascism is all around us. The lack of speaking up and standing up is giving fascism power.
It is almost like We are sorry for you all but I served my time, it’s on you and those in power.
It is not like they can’t lead the people who want direction or not like they can’t push present leadership.
Where is the overwhelming movement to save America? Is it just normalize everything? Don’t say the ballot box. Movements begin before the vote and we cannot even trust our votes with the gerrymandering and Election Police down here in Florida.
We need young blood with courage like David Hogg but he can’t do it alone nor can any one person without seniority on advocacy. No one is willing to give up their seat. No one is willing to march to Selma. No one is willing to camp out day in and day out at power places. The boomers did it for years to bring about the end of Vietnam and get rid of the draft. I know young people are willing but after November, it might be too late. The young folks who are trying need seasoned leadership. Where did all the good advocates go?
What is going on?
God Bless Jimmy Carter.
Statement from The Carter Center on the Overturning of Roe v. Wade
June 24, 2022The Carter Center is deeply disappointed with today’s Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe vs. Wade, which puts women’s health at risk by denying them the right to make their own health-care decisions.
“Taking medical care out of the hands of women and their doctors will undermine the health and well-being of half the nation’s population,” said Paige Alexander, CEO of The Carter Center. “Regardless of your position on abortion, we should all agree on better health care for all Americans. And the net effect of today’s ruling will be worse health outcomes for women – especially marginalized groups who suffer the most when rights are not protected.”
The Carter Center works to promote peace and health and to relieve people of unnecessary suffering. Today’s ruling will inflict undue pain, especially on women of color, the impoverished, and victims of sexual violence. The United States already ranks last out of 11 developed countries for maternal mortality, and this ruling will put even more women at risk. This ruling will also enable more states to prohibit access to abortion in cases of rape and incest, further traumatizing these victims.
The Carter Center urges Americans to press for state laws that protect health care as a human right and uphold the right for all citizens to make their own decisions about their health, their bodies, and their futures.

It is not like everyone uses Twitter. I have a song that seems appropriate.
Vote everyone out that cannot take on the fascism.
