What am I missing here? The Villages yes is a retirement community voting 2 to one for Republicans and have not said anything about DeSantis’s Don’t say Gay Bill but they have their own deal of self government as well. Even Goofy and Donald Duck know that.

The Villages District Office issues statement indicating it’s not part of DeSantis’ aim at Disney..
The Villages District Office has issued a statement indicating it is not part of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ aim at dismantling the special district status enjoyed in Florida for many years by Walt Disney World.
DeSantis announced earlier this week that the Florida Legislature “will be considering termination of all independent special districts that were enacted in Florida prior to 1968, and that includes the Reedy Creek Improvement District.” Reedy Creek is the special district under which Disney falls. State Sen. Dennis Baxley, who represents The Villages, on Wednesday voted in support of the anti-Disney legislation.
From what I figure this is not about the Villages getting their special treatment after 1990 but how they don’t disagree with the constipated looking governor.
Gary Moyer, for whom a recreation center is named in The Villages, was the driving force behind the development of Chapter 190. At one point his firm was handling 250 special districts in Florida. Moyer teamed up with H. Gary Morse in the early 1990s and was critical to the unparalleled success of The Villages. Moyer served as vice president of development for The Villages but cut ties with The Villages in 2019.
The Villages District Office points out that there are only five special districts that could potentially be dissolved by the action of the governor in tandem with the legislature. They are:
Hamilton County Development Authority
• East Point Water and Sewer District (Franklin County)
• Bradford County Development Authority
• Reedy Creek Improvement District aka Disney (Orange and Osceola Counties)
• Sunshine Drainage District (Broward County)

The Villages District Office is not included in DeSatin's Plan (against the Mouse) but they support his plan, because they are not included? Did I read this correctly? In other words DeSantis went out of his way to preserve the developers domain called the Villages, because it was formed under the same umbrella as Disney, but needed the Governors protection. Only the Republican bootlickers need protection. Lets get this straight.... if you want protection in Florida you buy a DeSantis insurance policy.Bring in the voters we need to DeSanitize Florida.

Read about the similarities in the above link. If I were Mickey I would be raising Hell. In court...with my lawyers. Seems there is some discrimination going on in this saga. I don’t know about you but my money is on Mickey soming out of this like a sweet smelling rose.
