True story. I ran for Class President in the 7th grade. I lost. Of course I got over it because I was 12 and not a baby toddler.
Now I had lots of good ideas for the 7th Grade. I thought we should have Fundraisers to help with Free lunches for kids. They did not have free lunches back when I went to school. I had the idea to have 30 minute study sessions before a big test. I had an idea to extend lunch periods to 45 minutes instead of 30 which after standing in line one was able to gobble in 10 minutes. . I had an idea for kids who were falling behind to get help in a subject to have a tutor to help during a study hall. In my opinion they were good ideas.
I was beat out by a classmate who had more votes than me because he really had some ideas that were more mainstream to the class. I don’t remember what exactly they were now at 71 BUT I was made Vice President instead. Funny part is..I congratulated the New Class President and felt a little let down that day.
I of course did not whine, complain and cut off friends who did not vote for me. These were secret ballots so I never did find out who voted against me but it was a fair election. I could have jumped up and down and screamed some classmates voted twice. I could have yelled, that 6th graders voted. I could have said the teacher miscounted the votes. I could have said, my election was stolen. I could have went from the (4 ) 7th grade classes and demanded recounts. I could have demanded my teacher be fired and count the election a fraud and that it was stolen from me. I laugh at such a stupid and childish stunt to have pulled and back then, every classmate would have scorned me.
So, tell me, why are grown adults allowing other grownups screaming and convincing people they were cheated and STOP THE STEAL. I think when you look at it from a 7th grade mindset, it is even more childish and ridiculous. Oh I remember now… I was 12. The Former Guy acts about 3 YOA. I was more mature and could accept a fair election, even when I lost.
Maybe I should go now and demand a recount and demand my place in the elementary yearbook. It’s a matter of principle.. ( LOL). I mean it was Georgia and I was supposed to win...right? I think he was from out out of state which I should demand his Library Card and see if he even belonged in our district. By Golly, maybe he lived in another county and had no business running or attending that school. Yeah… that’s the ticket… LOL…. I know it is a little late but maybe I should storm the school and demand that I REALLY WON. I should have gone on the Popeye Club and demanded Officer Don tell the kids I was the true President of the 7th Grade. Silly me.
Hope you enjoyed this true story and just how stupid Stop the Steal really is and how juvenile these republicans are acting. I could take a loss at 12.
