I am beyond words. You are going to be shocked but then again, knowing the territory maybe not.

In the song Love Story, it begins, “Where do I begin”….That is where I am right now.  The wheels in my head are  turning and turning and all that is happening is  that I am getting more furious.

Yesterday at 1:30 PM a trial was supposed to begin regarding that custody hearing.  The bio grandparents met with the GAL who basically gave them false hope on Sunday.  She thought they were  such good grandparents and their little house and the child’s room was precious,  There were all the pictures on the refrigerator, the urn with Brandy’s ashes sitting next to a little yellow house she always wanted,  and a pic of the child and mother sitting next to the urn.  They didn’t plant all that there, all of this had been in the house all along.

They showed up for court at 1:15 and saw this little girl and she came running to her Nana.  The neighbor had dressed her and also bought her school clothes, which she did not attend  school today either.

Does this child look like she has missed her Nana or what?

They did not look at the flavor of the month girlfriend and the felon was sitting outside the courtroom.  He never entered the courtroom.

I was called at approximately 2:30 and it was over.   I was told when his lawyer walked in (late)...no judge was seen, handed the GAL a flash drive and said, “ Are we ready to talk now”?   The two lawyers and some unknown 17 year old nobody knows who and the GAL went into a back conference room.  The court reporter was in the courtroom and no one saw the judge.  ( Nobody saw him) and the bio’s lawyer said, “ Look the GAL is recommending to give him a chance and award temporary custody to see how he does and you can get visitation.  If you take this further, you won’t get that.  Bio grandparents do not have many rights here and the GAL feels it best she be with the Daddy since the Mother is dead. He said, He is not the father of the year or even father of the week but he is trying now.

The bios sat there in shock.  They said, “ What about his 41 arrests, 20 something convictions, his violent behavior, his record?  Why did you say you couldn’t wait to get him on the stand?

He said, “The GAL has recommended she be with who she knows as her Father and see how he does until the next hearing in January.  The judge is going to go with that.”

Well, I had questions as I blew up.  I said, “ What the Hell”?  Did ya’ll sign anything?  They said no.  I said, “ Did you see any court order”?  They said No.  He said he would send the papers for us to sign in a couple of days?  It appeared to me the deal was done before they even sat down.   I told you all this was good ole boy country.  He told them this was not over that they would decide on permanent custody in January but if he got in trouble , they would automatically get her.”  I don’t know what to believe.  The lawyer I am sure was in the dark as he filed a new petition just on Friday but the GAL did not talk to us, to only one witness who lived with he and our daughter back in 2012 or so and she called our grown daughter who was at work and daughter told her she would be off work at 4:30 and this was on Friday and she never called back or answered her calls.  Go figure.

The child is still not enrolled in school.  She did not attend today.  She has now gotten head lice.  She has been on the phone with Nana when he is not around and she did not get up till 2PM this evening.

This looks shady as hell and I don’t know what to say or do but thank all of you and say. “I believe there is big money behind that boy”  He could not afford a magistrate judge for a lawyer.  What kind of lawyer would defend such a person?  They are draggin it out and I wish there could be a change of venue but how do I know how far up and how deep this runs.  His lawyer was educated in DC and was a lawyer there before heading to a little rural town in Ga.

Oh Look at this…. The district attorney was recently indicted on bribery charges.

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. - A grand jury has indicted Paulding County District Attorney Donald Richard "Dick" Donovan on four felony charges including bribery and making false statements.

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced the charges on Wednesday. Carr said Donovan sought to drop criminal charges against a client of the Cedartown Municipal Court prosecutor to curry favor to have charges dropped for one of his employees with whom he said he desired a sexual relationship. Carr said the dropping of those criminal charges was a bribe.

I wanted to call in the press but based on what?  No paperwork that yesterday even existed?   I am beyond livid.

Bless all of you.  I am thinking.  Something smells in this one horse town.
