If you are agruing or discussing the vote to a person who claims to be a Christian please ask them to explain this because they are going to have to explain it to God, if they support these things God hates.
A Fool’s wrath is presently known: Proverbs 12:16
Proverbs 12:16, KJV: "A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame."
What does that mean you might ask” well it means what it sounds like.
There are many people who do not believe in God but there are many who do believe in a higher power, scriptures and many of those people are supporting a man to lead this nation possessing the things God hates the most. They may not have to answer to you, or to me, but according to their own belief, THEY WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD. Remind them. They might have to stay home and not vote on election day if they plan on voting against not only their best interest but their own belief and soul.
According to Proverbs 6:16–19, God hates these six things because they destroy unity and breed discord among people.
1. God hates the arrogant and proud.
Herod was struck down dead by God because he let people worship him as a god (Acts 12:21–23).
2. God hates lying.
A couple named Ananias and Sapphira were struck down dead by God for lying to the apostles about money (Acts 5:1–10).
3. God hates violence against the innocent.
After Cain murdered his brother Abel, God cursed him to be a fugitive (Gen. 4:8–12).
4. God hates those who make evil plans.
When men were so full of evil that they planned evil continually, God decided to flood the earth and wipe out most of humanity (Gen. 6:5).
5. God hates those who are quick to do evil.
When the people of Israel sacrificed their children and practiced divination, God was angry and removed every tribe from the land except Judah (2 Kings 17:17).
6. God hates those who misrepresent others.
One of the Ten Commandments tells us not to “bear false witness” against our neighbor (Exod. 20:16). Slander and gossip are sins according to God. The seventh item listed as an “abomination” in Proverbs 6:19 is “one who sows discord among brothers.” All of the first six ultimately lead to and breed this discord and division.
God hates this because he loves unity. As Psalm 133:1 reminds us, “Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity.”
Proverbs 12:16, NLT: "A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted."
Do not be afraid to remind those people who are cherrypicking the bible and what they stand for in the name of Christianity, they are being deceived of which they themselves will have to answer for. See, there is also a scripture that says, Let your yea’s be yea and your no’s be no’s. There is no grey area when they say, oh except for. Nope.
Matthew 5:37King James Version37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
If they say...Fake news. Show them and remind them of his actual speech. You can’t deny that. It is right there. I would be terrified to vote for such what God considers a Fool by a fool’s wrath is presently known.
He even got that wrong… Because you are supposed to ask forgiveness before you drink that little glass of wine and cracker Donald.
Beware if you don’t. Not my warning.
We should also take the time to examine ourselves to ensure that our relationship with Christ is authentic and genuine. Not only recalling the inauguration of our relationship with Christ, but also seeking to discover if there is any unconfessed sin impeding our current fellowship with God (1 John 1:6–9).
So as you are trying to GOTV, and you have family members who are religious but obviously confused, use some of this to question what part of the scriptures do they not get if they vote Trump. Ask them. They may have to self examine and according to the scriptures, they will have to know that
A fool’s wrath is presently known. I am not judging, it is in the book. Deal with the author and instructor. In my belief, you will have to deal with the author and the instructor.
And when they turn to you and say, “ Well you are not even religious or a person of faith or believer, then return with the answer, “ Well, we are not talking about my vote but which is more important, voting for a man who acts on what God hates according to your belief. I am not a hypocrit, are you?
For the record I am a Christian and I would be terrified to vote for Donald Trump.
