Arkieboy was pretty well known to the Military community and the Daily Kos Community as a whole with his quick witted comments. I found out that Harry passed away this past weekend at his farm in Arkansas. We have lost a fine member of Daily Kos and another Vietnam Vet who suffered from Agent Orange.
For those not familiar with Arkie, I assure you he supported the veteran community in many ways. He was a real asset when DaNang and myself hosted
Vetlife with Vetwife. He was a real Will Rogers type person and was just so very quick witted. I will miss Harry so very much. He shared many Kos diaries.

Winkk and Justice got a kick out of Arkie on the radio with his quick wit. We were on Vetlife with Vetwife doing a show about the toxic environmental dangers during Vietnam when he contacted me and told me that I had brought up a subject regarding Agent Orange and those who served and were exposed on warships and we spoke. He soon received his disability compensation for his exposure while he served in the South China Sea during Vietnam.
Every Veterans Day, I received flowers from Arkieboy. He never forgot the information he received and I always told him he did not have to do this but he did and I so appreciated being thought about by this vet on such a humbling day when it was he and other men and women in uniform who made the sacrifice.
This Diary are your flowers and for you, Harry. I know you gave to Sara’s quilt projects and I know you supported this site with comments and diaries. I hope you know every vet and advocate on here will think of your service and know, you gave all, in the end.
