I was interested in just who Jay Sekulow is. I found out he is a very busy man. He is so busy that he is the perfect person that Trump would have picked to be Chief Council. He is an entertainer, an activist and reported to be one of the 4 horsemen ( whatever that means) to nominate Roberts for the Supreme Court. In fact, he may be the one actually running the country, so why has he not formally been nominated for President? I am still working on that little mystery. His life seems like a ball of contradictions.
Here we go. The man is a complete mystery to me. ( among other things)
From Google and Wikepedia
Sekulow is thought by some in Washington to have been one of the "Four Horsemen" who "engineered" the nomination of Chief Justice John G. Roberts to the Supreme Court. In 2007, Sekulow endorsed Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.wikepedia:
Jay Alan Sekulow is chief counsel at the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ). He hosts a radio and television talk show. Sekulow is a frequent guest commentator on the Christian Broadcasting Network and the Fox News Channel. A self-described Messianic Jew, Sekulow built a legal and media empire over a thirty-year period by representing conservative, religious, pro-life groups. Sekulow graduated from Lakeside High School, in Atlanta, then earning a B.A. in 1977 and a J.D., from Mercer University in 1980. While attending Atlanta Baptist College (now the Atlanta campus of Mercer University), Sekulow became interested in Christianity and converted to Messianic Judaism after encountering Jews for JesusSekulow earned a Ph.D. from Regent University in 2005, writing his dissertation on religious influence on Supreme Court Justices and their opinions. Here, it gets pretty interesting. It did seem pretty interesting regarding Jews for Jesus. ( Seems to go against his basic beliefs). This is especially true since one of his family members is a Rabbi in Atlanta.
After graduating from law school, Sekulow worked at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a prosecutor with the tax litigation division for "about 18 months.] In 1982, he opened a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, with former Mercer classmate Stuart Roth] which soon evolved into a business buying, renovating, and selling historic properties as a tax shelter for wealthy investors. When IRS regulations changed in the mid-eighties, the law firm and the real estate business collapsed. Sekulow and his partners filed for bankruptcy protection in 1987 and were sued by investors for fraud and securities violations. In 1987 Sekulow became general counsel for Jews for Jesus. In 1988 he founded the nonprofit group Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (CASE) whose president he is and whose board members are him, his wife, and their two sons.He gets really busy right about this time. This sounds like a Trump Clone with the exception of his musical career.
ACLJ's and CASE's tax returns show that between 1998 and 2011 they paid more than $33 million to Sekulow, members of his family, and businesses owned or co-owned by them; from 2011 to 2015, the two charities paid $5.5 million to Sekulow and members of his family, and $23 million to their businesses. Since 2011, donations to ACLF are routed through Sekulow's family-run CASE and many "transactions that benefit members of the Sekulow family are disclosed on the CASE returns, but not the ACLJ's." Between 2011 and 2015, the ACLJ, the "public face of the two nonprofits," collected nearly $230 million in charitable donations.[14]
There is so much to read about this guy. He flies around in his own jet and an author but get this...a Rock and Roller with former Kansas rock member. He has a band called The Jay Sekulow Band and is a drummer and guitarist. His band has it’s own Facebook page and he has many many fans. I would imagine old Huckabee feels kind of left out not being asked to join the band. I am quite sure he is much richer than Trump. He has a son that is following in his foodsteps so there is that. It was reported by some close to him that he voted for Hillary during the 2016 election. I find that hard to believe. Looking up some of what we call grifters make my head spin but my goodness they are loaded with money, power and fame and claim to be on the right side of God. He is only six years younger than me and I don’t know where he gets the energy to do so much bad in the name of good. I am a musician and can tell you straight up, drumming takes a lot of energy but what about all the other he is in to? Chief Council to Trump? Radio shows? Author? Lawyer? Television shows? Charity CEO? Real Estate? You need to read this theintercept.com/… See the video of this guy and his loud bullying on CBS. Oh here he is in his band but playing guitar x xYouTube Video Perfect title of a song… “Liar”. Now the drumming Song x xYouTube Video Did you people know he from New York, educated in Atlanta, alleged scamming charities and involved in this Ukraine thing while nominating supreme court justices was this busy? I did not but this association with Trump I would bet goes a lot further back than the Trump residency. Read up on this guy and you will see that Mitt Romney IMO will not defect because he too hired this guy. You will also see why I do not believe this Senate trial is anything close to fair and impartial. It is truly a spit on the constitution thing. It is like the Wolf guarding the other wolf at the door. Jay Sekelow is a phony…..maybe even bigger than Trump and I did not think that possible. Right wing Watch has the goods on him as well. www.rightwingwatch.org/...On June 27 and 28, 2017, The Guardian reported that documents obtained by them confirmed later that "millions in donations" were steered to his family members, that Sekulow "approved plans to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit, which since 2000 has steered more than $60m to Sekulow, his family and their businesses", and that attorneys general in New York and North Carolina opened investigations of Sekulow's CASE for possibly using pressure tactics in telemarketer calls to raise money which was allegedly misdirected to Sekulow and his family.
