This is this week’s featured candidate for Florida. Meet Susannah Randolph. Susannah is running for the congressional seat that is open due to Alan Grayson’s bid for the Senate. She is in District 9 for the Democratic party. Susannah has a grassroots campaign and a lot of endorsements. She needs YOU to help her take her seat in congress. She needs your support and YOUR vote.
I hate GOTV pieces that has just info on the candidate but this candidate has a very progressive background and what a mover and shaker she is. This is really a great bit of info on a candidate with a great record. I am so proud of our candidates this year. Our candidates look like the kind of people who should be in charge of our government. They do not look like the party of no and The Enguirer’s latest tabloid of hate and gossip. We are truly the grown ups with a forward movement for the country.

From her undergraduate days as a student leader at the Florida State University, to Executive Director of Florida Watch Action leading the fight against Rick Scott's anti-middle class agenda with the wildly successful Pink Slip Rick campaign, she's always inspired those around her to fight for a greater purpose.
She has spent her life making Florida a better place to live for middle-class families. Her leadership was featured in The American Prospect, Hardball with Chris Matthews, the Ed Show, The Rachel Maddow Show, the Tampa Bay Times and the Miami Herald.
Twice named as one of Orlando's 50 most powerful people, Susannah worked as Congressman Grayson's District Director to help keep the Kissimmee Gateway Airport open in the face of sequestration cuts to the FAA budget, and helped secure a $6.5 million grant for the Orange County Firefighters - creating 40 new jobs and keeping fire stations open. Most recently, Susannah was the lead strategist in passing a Wage Theft Ordinance in Osceola County which led to the implementation of the Florida's strongest Wage Recovery program.
In 2011 she received the Grassroots Honoree Award from U.S. Action and was inducted in to the Netroots Activist Hall of Fame. In 2012, she was honored with the Glass Ceiling Award by the Business and Professional Women of Florida. Susannah previously served on the board of Planned Parenthood of of Southwest and Central Florida, served on the Out and Proud Veterans of America Board, is a member of the League of Women Voters, the Democratic Women's Club of Florida, and the Florida Progressive Caucus.
She has been married to former Florida State Representative and current Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph for 10 years, and is mother to a three and a half year old force of nature, Hillary Eleanor Randolph.

Campaign Manager, Anne Gimbel echoed Randolph’s message of grassroots strength stating “Americans don’t want another career politician driven by self interests. Susannah’s deep ties to the district as a community advocate gives her the grassroots strength to win.”
Randolph is currently running to for the Orange/Osceola county seat left open by Alan Grayson’s run for Senate. Other Democrats running include State Senator Darren Soto, Grayson’s Girlfriend Dr. Dena Minning, former State Representative Ricardo Rangel, and Businesswoman Valleri Crabtree.
Susannah is one of many of our Dem candidates featured on the 90 for 90 site and included in the movement of Dr. Reid’s strategy to win. I love 90 for 90’s site and please vist them no matter which state you are in as it is a one stop political shop for all of your winning solutions. www.90for90.org/...
Florida is a state that needs to concentrate on so many issues and Susannah is one who can tackle the problems from the Orlando area to DC. FRACKING is a serious problem as we have Governor Scott and Pam Bondi tearing down any progress made in the past 40 years. Florida is a beautiful state but we must get control of the republican dominated legislators. We need a candidate who can get the job done. We need to build as many democratic candidates to take the Congress back and this is how we do it.
BIG ENDORSEMENT – “National Organization for Women Endorses Randolph,” via press release: “The National Organization for Women PAC has endorsed Susannah Randolph’s campaign for Florida’s 9th Congressional District, citing her lengthy record of fighting for reproductive rights, wage equality, paid time off and affordable, quality child care.
