Democrats, please be the postal service this time around. Through, wind, rain, flood...VOTE. Mail carriers get the mail through even in floods but democrats do not like to vote if raining so be a postal carrier and make sure you vote no matter what the weather. If storm surges rise, the effect will be felt through election day but vote regardless… It is our only hope for democracy and to start on a path to recovery of this fascists takeover. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR FLORIDA. This is no longer just an election, this is a fight for our democracy.
You can bet if this thing materializes, then Republicans will take a canoe to get to the polls. If the Storm Surge for almost every county in Florida especially Tampa Bay and Central Florida, then we need to GOTV by mail. Tropical Storm Michael is supposed to develop into a Hurricane 2 to make landfall in the Panhandle, but it will be Republicans who swim to the polls.
Of course Rick Scott has already declared a State of emergency. He has made money off of Irma and hoping for another windfall from Michael, I am quite sure.
The Tampa Bay area is under a Tropical Storm Warning as Michael appears poised to strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane before making landfall on the Florida Panhandle by midweek.
On Monday at 5 a.m., the National Hurricane Center issued the Tropical Storm Watch from the Suwannee River to Anna Maria Island, including Tampa Bay. It also issued a Storm Surge Watch from Navarre, in the Florida Panhandle, to Anna Maria Island.
The Storm Surge Watch means the Tampa Bay area experience "life-threatening" flooding from rising water moving inland from the coastline during the next 48 hours, according to the Hurricane Center
We all know it is the Storm Surge and flooding that will impact after the storm has passed which causes destruction weeks AFTER the storm.
