There was a Maria before a Florence. People died...They did not have to. Carolina Beware !

People have short memories.   This post is not to downplay Hurricane Florence, a Cat 2 Hurricane rushing to the Carolinas but Maria was a Cat 5 and huge.  Maria was left in ruins and now Trump claims people were going to die anyway.   He denies the death toll.

  RUN SOUTH AND NORTH CAROLINA...At least all spanish speaking residents, POC, elderly and poor.  You won’t be counted among the dead .   SEEK SHELTER NOW….THERE IS NO GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE SAVED OR REBUILT….. Maria is a good look back and see just how much this bunch in DC cares about lives, property and rebuilding.   Keep in mind, these southern states people talk like they have marbles in their mouth.  Isn’t that what Trump said about his own Attorney General from Alabama?

The hurricane itself is catastrophic always to business, tourists and residents, no matter what category , but a Cat 5 is as catastrophic as hurricanes get and especially the aftermath of any hurricanes.   Even a Cat 1 can put people in danger and dire straits but a Cat 5 requires all hands on deck, leadership and a helluva lot more than paper towels thrown in their despair.

All the news media is saying Hurricane Florence is the worst Hurricane in a lifetime.   I will say it is horrific and bad but for this piece of leadership we have to downplay Maria as not much more than a tropical storm and throw papertowels is beyond sane minds.  Maria IMO had more intensity and Puerto Rico got a direct hit !

All I can say is one is on the mainland and one was not.  We are citizens of these United States of America and the shame and disgust of downplaying and ignoring the after math of Maria is beyond savage.   

This post is to jog people’s memories and to remind them of the pics and the difference this warning  of Florence and the absolute indifference to Maria.   

All forces of nature are horrible but not all responses have to be.   People of the Carolinas, please be prepared to move to safety and I hope you are not left by the wayside as the people of Puerto Rico.  Does Trump care about death from hurricanes?   Not really.  He does not even acknowledge death tolls but South Carolina and North Carolina cannot be ignored, because, well it is an election year and the majority of the residents are not Puerto Rican.

My prayers are with you all.   I wanted to jog the images of these storms and remind you…..Maria WAS and has proven  to be with death and destruction the worst Hurricane experience since Katrina and IMO and it did not have to be a death toll of nearly 3000.  The US declared war on Iraq for less death numbers.

He not only pits people against people...He pits hurricane paths and dangers against one another.
