I have never in my life seen so many people who have total mindless actions behind the wheel. You can never find a cop when you need one and when Semi’s start hitting busloads of kids on the way to school and you can’t turn on the TV without hearing of some pedestrian being hit in Florida ( don’t know about other places) then there is a BIG problem.
Last Sunday my vet was driving his little S10 pickup home from a farm and garden that he and some friends are growing and an idiot driver doing 75 MPH swerved all over the road and hit him in the rear..sending him to the hospital and then the driver never slowing down ran and ran through a red light. Some would say, “ Not seriously injured but he is banged up pretty badly. Seat belt caught him in the abdomen and he got tossed like a salad in that little truck when the Big F150 plowed into him. The police and state patrol were no where around and I just hope the traffic light the nut ran had a camera on it. My vet said the guy was swerving and he started pulling toward the shoulder as he observed him from the rearview but the guy went over the middle line, over to the other white line and then cut back into his own lane plowing into the back of our truck at approximately 75 MPH. My vet said he was glad if he had to hit someone that it was him because had a car been coming in their own lane, the reckless driver would have hit them head on. The police and State patrol put a lookout and contacted the paint and body shops but no luck in finding this out of control maniac behind the wheel. Three MRI’s and 4 prescriptions later, my husband is hurting in places he never knew he had places. People our age cannot take licks like that very well.
I have always been a confident driver but here lately I realize your life is at risk every time you get on the roads. There are way too many idiots with their head up their ass, or in the bottle or on the phone. Of course their voting or lack of it proved that but now people are dying and getting seriously hurt. Not to mention the out of pocket costs till insurance reimburses. We have an obvious disregard for laws nowadays..in large proportions .
This morning I turned on local news and a Semi had hit a busload of kids going to school. There were three pedestrians hit in the Tampa area and Two wrong way drivers causing crashes.. What the Hell !!!!! In just one morning.
Be careful out there. There are more nuts driving vehicles than ever before. it is almost like Dodge Ball or Bumper Cars at 70 MPH.
Semi’s were also hitting school buses in March and in January.
