This is where we are and it only took 40 some odd years. Stop it right now !

Had George Wallace had the money,  a reality show and the pull from millionaires and billionaires...He would have been president.   Had we not had MLK...RFK...and other strong people standing in opposition...It would be President George Wallace.   Think about that for just a minute.   There were just as many racists back then...but we had people willing to take a bump in the head, like John Lewis.

People let their guard down and activists thought we had gotten past some of this nastiness of racism.  Donald J Trump and Steve Bannon and it appears most of the republican party is nothing more than a 21st century George Wallace and Lester Maddox.   This is Jim Crow replay.  We cannot allow liars and chaos and hate toward Gold Star families and police brutality continue…..Especially when the hate is coming from the top.  

Resistance peacefully is the answer but it must be done everyday..on every campus, in every state.   

I am horrified to think we are reliving this nightmare.  Young People… You have to start organizing sit in’s..teach in’s… and marches and you have to do it every single day.   That is how this thing was reigned in during the 60’s and the only way it will get reigned in now.

Of course after he was shot in an assassination attempt and faced death on a bed and crippled forever, he had time to re access his thinking about race.  He admitted he was wrong and asked forgiveness but he was old and nearly dead by the time this transformation took place and Donald J Trump is already old.  He won’t change.  Steve Bannon is a true racist.   He promotes white nationalism and Donald J Trump is just a mindless, dangerous narcissist who made it to WH.  This is where we are.   YOU must resist and you MUST find someone willing to march day in and day out.

I cannot imagine a Wallace presidency but I think it would resemble a Bannon or Trump one.  I do think Trump may be worse because he is more than a racist.

Where are the activists with strong voices?   I think we have a few but not enough.

In the 60’s, we had Paul Newman...Peter Paul and Mary.  We had Martin Luther King, John Lewis, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Dick Gregory, Robert Kennedy, James Garner, Gloria Steineim, Sammy Davis Jr.  We had many outspoken people. We had several fronts young people were taking on.  The war in Vietnam, civil rights, Women’s rights.   Students died at Kent State.  There must be movement and a huge one equal to the Womens March...AND OFTEN in many places. 

I call out to you young people.   Get off the dope.  Get off the games.   You have a country to defend.  You have liberty to defend.  You have justice to pursue.   What are you prepared to do?   This is not going away and it won’t go quickly at the ballot box.  I say again...What are you prepared to do?   

The Women’s march was VERY impressive.  It was one march.  You have to be willing to be out there every single day.  You have to stand against hate.  You have to stand with your brothers and sisters of color.   Young people of Chicago...quit giving the right to use you as an example of black on black gang hate.  Clean it up.   Take your righteous yet peaceful march to Washington.   Demand Change.  Change does not just happen.   We are in dangerous times.  YOU are the future.  What are you going to defend and protect and do about your future as equal for all.  Resist Now… Resist for as long as it takes.    Change begins with you.   We are old.   We can advise.  We can remind.   We can see what is happening.   You have technology to use.   YOU have to do this thing.  A leader has to emerge to confront and organize against the Spencer’s, the Bannon’s, the Millers, the alt right or the anti american as I prefer to call them.   Your sisters and girlfriends and daughters are being harrassed, abused, discriminated against, and you watch.  This will not get better.  Find a leader or become one… Find your protest singers.   Become the REAL RESISTANCE and show the world that we won’t go back and we are almost there to the 60’s.   WAKE UP..It has only taken 40 plus years to move the hate to power.   It must be done away with before we are either awaken to a Nuclear war, a racial war, or genocide. civil war, or Outbreak.   This is the direction we are going and nobody is going to rescue you.  We found that out in the 50’s and 60’s.  No one.  You are on your own.  The future will be determined by what you are willing to fight for today.
