For those of you in safe blue areas such as California, Oregon, Connecticut, well you know your state, I envy you. You can get angry and you can get upset but it is not a living nightmare as down here in the red states. Yes Florida went blue in the presidential race for Obama and trending slightly for Clinton. The reality is the down ballots and the rhetoric from the extreme green left and the ridiculous deplorable right will make one physically ill, daily. It has me anyway.
The hate is so dark and overwhelming and not just from the working class white men. The women in Northern and Central Florida are unhinged as well. I do see more white males with their off their rocker...remarks which concern me quite a bit but women in general are walking around tense down here in Florida. We look at our sisters and think...God knows what. I know what I think. How could any woman stay home or vote Trump? I see the superiority , gun totin men all up in arms standing firmly behind Trump but that is true for some of our teachers and county administrators and business folks as well who just happen to be women. It is true that a few more Hillary signs have gone up but up here in the Ocala area, it is sickening and I mean physically. I have had an upset stomach for days… If I were not of my age, I would pack up and move somewhere that reflects my views better but there are pockets of stupid everywhere so I really do not know where that somewhere would be. I can take someone who is reasonable but not shouting Build the Wall when the likes of Daniel Webster proudly tied himself to Donald Trump and the people cheered while a good man like Dave Koller rejected the very concept in a county debate Mon. night. Not one person applauded when he said he was proud to cast his vote for Hillary Clinton. I was supposed to attend the debate but I have been physically sick with an upset stomach for days…. I know it is nerves. I also have the anniversary of my grandson’s suicide approaching.
I just envy you folks who are not a little bit nervous for having signs in your yard or are able to proudly campaign without the hate and rhetoric we face. It is a hard job to be sworn at and attacked verbally for trying to get out the vote which registration ended today.
You know what is bad? These deplorable people do not mind saying Bitch, Cunt, or Build the Wall… or Make America Great again within ear shot of children, if anyone tries to speak up for Hillary.. They really do not care and get red in the face and I still have not understood their hatred. Most of these same people are living off social security or VA benefits or if young..living off democratic parents or siblings… This is sickening. You cannot argue with them.. They want to pick arguments, and get in your face about how rigged the election is. I am seeing women abused verbally...daily. We hear sexist rhetoric. We see the anger seething...
If you live in a state that is deep blue….and have voted ...can you please help us in Florida, make the case for the democrats who are running. We are getting abused in many ways down here. Can you join us in trying to get people to the polls? Can you write letters to our editors? We are at ground zero for trouble. Donald Trump has made sure of that !!!! We are weary and we are tired and will be so glad when this election is over but we still are stuck with angry people...Angry white people like Zimmerman, like Trump, like Scott. I no longer will talk to the extreme left or the right. There is no grey area in our area… All Black and white, No moderates and no reasoning. We need at this point to just get the base out and make sure our dems are not staying home…. We need some encouragement and we need some love because we sure as hell are sick and tired of more than our share of deplorable. It just is not normal to look for people you think you know who may be carrying weapons or some you don’t know who is ready to run you over in a vehicle. This is not hyperbole. This is dark and this is ugly at the most extreme level. The AA community is very beaten down. They are brave but they are facing Jim Crow fear again. It is so un nerving in Florida at this time.
