Have you ever had to take a physical for a job? Bet you have. Ever have to have a physical and mental evaluation to enter the military? You bet.
Why in the United States of America, is there not a vetting process at Bethesda or The Mayo Clinic or some other top notch medical facility evaluating on the tax payer dime which I would not mind to evaluate presidential candidates once they receive the nomination? Why is that? There should be a law to require that a complete non partisan physical and mental evaluation be conducted on a person who is applying for the job of Commander in Chief and Leader of the Free World.
This idea is just common sense. We have clerical workers who have to have physicals. We have police and 911 operators who undergo physicals. Why do we not have government officials in high ranking power positions not completing a thorough evaluation regarding physical and mental capabilities to function in a very demanding position. Why is that?
They do not have to release all the results to the public. All the professionals on a non partisan analysis has to determine , is if that candidate has a history of impairment that would make them fit or unfit to lead. I do not know if the ADA would qualify in this circumstance but I would think a vetting checkup could disqualify a candidate from running and stop this speculation and uncertain feeling of who is in charge and if they are they fit.
One cannot adopt children without undergoing serious mental and physical evaluations….There are never guarantees, but it would sure ease one’s mind about the capability of holding that job.
Just a small idea IMO that should meet a requirement to run for president.
